The GovTech Academy Challenge

What is the difference between the Challenge and the Academy?

Frequently Asked Questions

The GovTech Challenge is aimed at students and recent graduates who have an idea or product they wish to develop, but have not launched their business yet.  The GovTech Academy is designed for small businesses already operating who wish to sell their services or digital products to government or public service.

Current university students graduating this year and those who have graduated in the last three years are eligible to apply for the Challenge.

Submit your business idea (service or product) via the f6s platform and we will select a winner who will join our co-working/incubation space The Rain Cloud in Victoria.  You will be given free space for 6 months, bi-weekly mentoring from our tech entrepreneur in residence and access to relevant events, including the CivTech forum... ooh, and some cash. All that is summarised here.  Depending on how quickly your idea develops, you may also be eligible to join the GovTech Academy, which includes an intensive 2-day Boot Camp as well as ongoing mentoring from our experts.

There are no costs involved for you to participate or apply.  You will be responsible for your own travel expenses to The Rain Cloud.
