Can you afford not to sell to the government or public sector?
As a small business or start-up we know how daunting it can be to figure out how to get your product or service into this space. Who do you talk to and where do you even start?
Designed to answer those very questions and to help you get your business/product/service ready, the GovTech Academy is a training and business support programme like no other.
The GovTech Academy lasts for 6 months (the next one is Sept 2018-Mar 2019 and the one after that is expected to run Feb 2019-Jul 2019) and is supported by the CASTS initiative, which funds 10-12 company scholarships on each cohort, with a market value of approximately £2,000 each!
You will start the programme by attending our 2-day intensive training programme, where you will hear from a host of experts on a range of key topics such as:
- How to use the G-Cloud framework
- How to attain pre-qualification requirements
- How to write public sector tenders.
Following this, there will be monthly meetings with your cohort where you will set goals and discuss issues, hear from one of our experts and have the opportunity to build your contacts and networks via our range of events.
You will also receive 1:1 mentoring from a carefully selected expert.
Towards the end of the programme, all participants will be given the opportunity to pitch at least once to an external audience, either via our public CivTech Forum or our mentor network, depending on what is most suitable.
"GovTech has the potential to transform public services through new innovative products and cutting-edge technologies that are both entrepreneurial and efficient."
"Our investment in GovTech will help deliver a significant boost to this growing sector while delivering on our ambition set out in the Industrial Strategy of driving progress and innovation that will create opportunities for businesses and sectors across the UK."
The Rt Hon Greg Clark MP
Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy
